If you’re dreaming of a small, heartfelt wedding with a touch of vintage flair, Bronny and Matt’s Cockington Court wedding is the perfect inspiration. Set in the picturesque surroundings of Torquay, their day was filled with laughter, personal touches, and a whole lot of love — the kind of celebration that feels just right.

Bronny & Matt's Intimate Cockington Court Wedding
Bronny and Matt’s wedding at Cockington Court in Torquay was the perfect blend of relaxed, personal, and full of love. With a vintage feel, vibrant florals, and thoughtful touches, their day was all about celebrating with the people who mean the most to them.

How it all began
These two first met in a nightclub in Bristol back in 2013 — at 4am, no less! Matt came over for a chat and asked Bronny if she wanted to dance. She replied (jokingly) that she’d only say yes if he could name 20 Disney films on the spot. He gave it a good go, but only managed six! Still, it sparked something special, and they soon started dating.
They quickly realised they shared the same sense of humour and love for all things fun. In 2016, they moved in together, and in 2019 their family grew by one very fluffy member — their labradoodle, Rory, who instantly became the most spoiled in the household!
The proposal
Matt had originally planned to propose while on a family holiday, but when Bronny’s dad became ill and plans changed, he decided to do it at her parents’ house instead. It meant her dad could be there for the special moment — something that meant so much to both of them, especially as he sadly passed away a week later.
Their wedding day included lots of lovely details to remember and honour Bronny’s dad, making the celebration even more meaningful.
The wedding day at Cockington Court
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Cockington Court in Torquay. The couple didn’t choose a specific theme, but the day naturally had a soft, vintage feel. Bronny’s stunning Needle & Thread dress stepped away from the classic bridal look, and the bouquets were full of colour — a lovely contrast against the timeless backdrop of the venue.

The couple kept their outfits a surprise from each other, which added a little extra excitement on the day. Bronny was especially looking forward to seeing Matt’s suit! The whole celebration was small and intimate, with a focus on making the day special not just for them, but for their mums too.
Details and suppliers
A few stand-out suppliers helped bring Bronny and Matt’s day to life:
Florals: Hidden Botanics created gorgeous, vibrant bouquets full of personality.
Cake: Mrs Potts Chocolate House made a sweet centrepiece that reflected their fun style.
Dress: Bronny wore a beautiful design from Needle & Thread London.
Cars: Abbey Wedding Cars provided vintage-style Jaguars to complete the look.
Everything came together so naturally and reflected who they are as a couple.
The honeymoon
After the wedding, Bronny and Matt planned a trip to Orlando — a place close to their hearts and packed with Disney magic (of course!). It’s the perfect spot for two people whose love story started with a Disney-themed challenge on a dance floor.
Final thoughts
Bronny and Matt’s day was a lovely reminder that weddings don’t need to be over-the-top to be truly memorable. Sometimes, it’s the simple moments, the personal touches, and the love you share with those closest to you that make it absolutely perfect.
