Hey! I'm Steph - A Relaxed Wedding Photographer in Devon and Somerset

My style is all about capturing the real stuff: the laughter, the little glances, the joyful chaos, and the quiet moments in between. Inspired by my grandad’s love of storytelling through photos, I’ve built my photography around connection, calm energy, and letting people be their true selves in front of the camera. I bring a friendly, chilled-out vibe to every wedding—so you can focus on enjoying your day, while I focus on capturing it beautifully.

My laid-back, documentary approach to capturing your day naturally

Let’s be real—having your photo taken can sometimes feel a bit… awkward, right? That’s exactly why I’ve built my entire photography approach around keeping things relaxed, natural, and genuinely you.

I’m Steph, a wedding photographer based in Devon and Somerset, and I specialise in documentary-style, candid wedding photography for couples who just want to enjoy their day without feeling like they’re on a photo shoot. If that sounds like your kind of vibe—good news, you’re in the right place.

Good vibes only: what it’s like to have me around on your wedding day

My personality is super friendly, calm, and approachable. I bring good vibes and a chilled-out energy to every wedding I shoot—like having another friend there, but one with a camera and a sixth sense for emotional moments.

You won’t catch me barking orders or overly staging your day. Instead, I blend into the background and quietly capture everything as it unfolds—from the belly laughs to the teary eyes and all the in-between moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Natural direction (only when you need it)

I’m all about letting things flow naturally—after all, your wedding day shouldn’t feel like a photo session. I’ll never interrupt a special moment unless it’s absolutely necessary. But don’t worry—I’m also here to subtly guide you and make sure we stick to your timeline, so everything flows smoothly and runs on time.

During your couple portraits, I’ll give you just enough direction to help you feel at ease, but nothing that takes away from being yourselves. Think gentle prompts, not stiff poses. A little nudge to walk hand in hand, a prompt to whisper something silly, or a moment to breathe and just be together.

No awkward posing. No pressure. Just genuine connection captured beautifully.

Documentary and candid—what that means for your wedding photos

My overall style is best described as documentary and candid wedding photography. That means I focus on real moments over perfection. I want your gallery to feel like your memories—honest, full of life, and 100% true to you.

From morning prep through to the dance floor, I’ll be there documenting the real story of your day. The way your nan looks at you. The wind in your veil. Your best friend’s wild laugh. The hug that lingers just a second longer. All those fleeting things that make your wedding your wedding.

What couples say about the experience

I often hear from couples that they felt completely relaxed around me—and that they forgot I was even taking photos most of the time! That’s exactly the experience I aim to give you. Zero pressure. All the magic.
