5 Things I Love (Almost) As Much As Weddings | Devon Wedding Photographer Lifestyle Blog

As a Devon wedding photographer, I spend most of my time surrounded by love stories, laughter, and magical moments — and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Photography is my dream job, and I feel so lucky to call it my career. But when I’m not editing wedding photos or capturing those once-in-a-lifetime “I do” moments across Devon, Somerset, and the South West, there are a few things that make me just as happy (well… almost). So, grab a coffee, sit back, and get to know a few of my favourite things outside the world of weddings!

Hands with wedding rings resting on a vibrant bouquet of flowers, featuring red, yellow, and pink blooms, conveying a joyful, romantic mood.

My Cat – The Real Star of My Devon Wedding Photographer Lifestyle Blog

Let’s start with the fluffiest member of my household — my cat Willow! Between her sassy personality and her love for napping on my keyboard while I’m editing wedding galleries, she’s truly my little sidekick. Whether I’m working on a countryside wedding from Somerset or a coastal celebration in Torquay, she’s never far away, usually supervising (or demanding attention).

Coffee: My Lifeline During Wedding Season

If you’ve ever been a wedding photographer in Devon, you’ll know caffeine is basically essential for survival. I’m a total coffee addict — from iced coffees in the summer to Maple hazel lattes in Autumn and gingerbread lattes in the winter, it’s my fuel. Many of my best editing sessions happen with a steaming cup of coffee beside me and a playlist full of chilled vibes in the background and just in general day to day life!

Cars – Especially My Love for Mustangs

There’s just something about the growl of a Ford Mustang that makes my heart race. I’ve always had a soft spot for cars, but Mustangs? They’re my ultimate dream ride. I love the power, the design, and the sheer personality they have — kind of like the weddings I photograph: full of style, character, and unforgettable moments.

Photography – My Dream, My Passion, My Forever Love

This one’s no surprise, right? Photography isn’t just my career — it’s truly my passion. Ever since my grandad first handed me a camera as a kid, I’ve been obsessed with capturing life’s little details. Whether I’m photographing a golden-hour engagement shoot in Somerset, a rustic barn wedding in Devon, or an elegant celebration in Exeter, I feel at home behind the lens.

Weddings don’t even feel like work to me — and as they say, if you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!

Being a Devon wedding photographer allows me to combine creativity, emotion, and storytelling into something magical — and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Cocktails, Cider & Creamy Liqueurs

When I’m not out capturing weddings across Devon and Somerset, I love winding down on the odd occasion with a good drink or two. Whether it’s a fruity cocktail, a refreshing pint of cider on a sunny afternoon, or something a little indulgent like a creamy liqueur — I’m all for it! Aldi actually has an a

mazing range of their own-brand specials inspired by Baileys, and honestly, they’re so good. It’s the perfect little treat after a long week of editing wedding photos and blogging as a Devon wedding photographer.

So, there you have it — five things I love (almost) as much as weddings! From caffeine-fueled editing days to cat cuddles and car dreams, these little joys make up the fun, personal side of my Devon wedding photographer lifestyle blog. Whether you’re here for the wedding inspiration or just a peek into the person behind the camera, thanks for stopping by — I’m so glad you did.
